BeyondInvest ("BeyondInvest," "we," "us") is a personal finance application that connects your financial accounts to show you a single, accurate picture of your money. This policy explains what information the app accesses, how it's used, how it's stored, and the choices you have. We collect only what's needed to run the app, and we never sell your data.
Information we access
With your explicit authorization, BeyondInvest connects to your financial institutions through Plaid, a secure third-party data network. Through that connection we may access:
- Account details such as account name, type, institution, and balances;
- Transaction history, including amounts, dates, descriptions, and pending status;
- Investment holdings and their values, where applicable;
- Liability details such as balances and due dates, where applicable.
You enter your bank login credentials directly with Plaid during the connection process. BeyondInvest never sees or stores your banking usernames or passwords.
How we use it
Your financial data is used for one purpose: to operate the features of the app for you — calculating what's safe to spend, displaying balances and transactions, tracking net worth, and showing your accounts and investments in one place. We do not use your financial data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.
Service providers
We share data only with the infrastructure providers required to run the app, and only to the extent needed:
- Plaid — securely connects your accounts and retrieves your data. Plaid's handling of your information is governed by the Plaid End User Privacy Policy.
- Supabase — hosts the database where your data is stored.
- Cloudflare — provides hosting and content delivery.
How we protect it
- Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS).
- Data is stored in an encrypted-at-rest database.
- The credentials that allow access to your connected accounts are encrypted before storage and are never exposed to the browser.
- Account connections are read-only by default.
Your choices
- You can disconnect any linked account at any time, which stops further data retrieval.
- You can request that your stored data be deleted by contacting us at [email protected]. We will delete it promptly.
- You may revoke Plaid's access to your accounts at any time through my.plaid.com.
Data retention
We keep your data only while you use the app or until you ask us to delete it. When you delete an account connection or request deletion, the associated data is removed.
Children
BeyondInvest is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from minors.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
